Annexation of Hawaii

This political cartoon is on the Annextion of Hawaii. You can tell because Hawaii is around countries also taken by America. The message involving this cartoon must have been that America had their hands full when they annexed Hawaii. This is shown as Uncle Sam carring two children with two more pulling on other things and making a mess. Another opinion could be this cartoon is based of the Spanish-American War. This could be a theory because each child repersents countries taken by America durring the war or after. This cartoon shows irony, labelng, and an analogy. The irony in this picture is that with many children they should be a little calm but instead they are wild and angery. In this cartoon labeling occurs on each of the children for each of the countries they repersent. The analogy in this particular cartoon is the countries to whiny children or cry babies. This Cartoon is in favor of my opinion against imperialism. It is in favor becaus it disses on the desicion to annex Hawaii.
