Purchase of Alaska Political Cartoon

This cartoon is on the Purchase of Alaska; we see russian slaves on a container and Seward rubbing it onto Uncle Sam's head. The cartoonist seems to have been against the Purchase of Alaska. I believe this because the cartoonist seems to have given uncle sam a big head as a repersentaition on what Alaska did to America(gave us a big head figurativly). Another could see this as Alaska supplied the help to calm american troubles. You can see this because Alaska was home to many russians. The cartoonist used labeling on the container that read russian slaves. The cartoonist also used symbolism as Uncle Sam is meant to be America you ca also see the gel/container is repersenting russians living in Alaska. There is also exaggeration, alaska is not really a big bump on Uncle Sam's head. This Cartoon is supportive of my opinion on imperialism, because I disagree with imperialism.
